GNRC Tanzania recognizes that Peacekeeping is a shared responsibility, and that the future of Tanzania’s peace and sustainable development depends on the quality of youths that are produced in the present generation.

The Leadership Mentoring Program (LMP) was conceived by GNRC-Tanzania as a springboard for the prevention of radicalization taking root in the youth of Zanzibar.

The program engages youth in community development activities as a way to build a sustainable frame of peace and development for humanity. LMP equips youth with conflict mitigation and leadership skills, and aims at building a generation of youth leaders.

On 20th December, 25 youth from Unguja and Pemba graduated from the mentorship program after four months of training.

Expansion of the program will later include youth from Tanzania mainland.
