Launch of the Global classroom on Public Health – India

With the intention of taking professional education beyond classrooms, Shanti Ashram’s international Centre for Child and Public Health joined hands with PSG Centre for Research and Bioethics and Arigatou International of Japan to organize a global classroom platform.

Participants during the event 

The initiative will include a series of talks by experts in the field of public health. The inaugural oration was given by Dr. Howard Hu, a leading global health expert from Canada on the future of public health and medicine in a crowded and complex world. He talked about 25 years of research on the exposure of lead on children’s health and families. He highlighted that sustainable health system of the future require trans-disciplinary and trans-sectoral collaborations. It must involve partnerships with governments, industries, NGOs and individuals. With collaborations, he emphasized the importance of generating evidence and focusing on innovations.
