Children’s health and proper growth is greatly dependent on the ability of their parents or caregivers to provide them with basic needs including food, shelter, medical and education support. GNRC- Nigeria led by the Nigeria Women of Faith Network embarked on a training beginning in November 2015 to empower over 30 poor or jobless rural women with vocational skills to boost their family incomes.
By the end of the training, the women will have skills in bakery, bead-making, and skills on how to prepare nutritious meals for their families. Additionally, each will receive a start-up kit depending on the skill of interest.
