‘Learning to Live Together’ in Romania

‘Learning to Live Together’ in Romania

In March 2018, GNRC–Romania conducted 10 sessions on ‘Learning to Live Together,’ supported by GNRC’s sister initiative, Ethics Education for Children. The trainings reached one hundred and seventy nine (179) students from different schools in Bucharest, Romania.

Students were taught about ethics education, non-violent alternatives, respect and mutual understanding, in addition to engaging in educative activities for peace such as songs, poems, role plays and prayers. Students also shared their perception of violence and a violence-free world.

The children shared some of the real case examples related to violence against children, and the facilitators provided solutions towards them including: shunning the act, reporting any incident to the authorities and educating fellow peers on ending violence against children.
