GNRC Collaborated with Youth Empowerment Institute Kenya (CAP – YEI) for young entrepreneurs award

On May 26th, the GNRC Programs & Network manager, Mr. Belall Maudarbux, and the Global Youth Coordinator, Ms. Miriam Rubino, participated in a competition organized by GNRC partner CAP YEI. As an incentive to the Youth entrepreneurs, a conference and competition was held at the Jacaranda Hotel, in the area of Westlands, Nairobi.

The event served to showcase the work of CAP YEI to representatives of the banking, business and civil society sectors, as well as to provide a platform for the young entrepreneur for their business ideas.

One youth of each of the 13 CAP YEI centers around the country had the opportunity to display specimen of their work and the skills that they have developed during their training. A jury panel composed of prominent Kenyan business people advised the presenters on best opportunities for their field, and recognized the best 3 presentations with awards.

Arigatou International’s GNRC and ECP initiatives supported the event and training, this allowed the best CAP –YEI entrepreneurial youth to receive an award to kick-start and boost their business.
