Capacity Building Training on Advocacy

The Global Network of Religions for Children (GNRC) Secretariat, in partnership with Prayer and Action for Children, held a capacity-building training for its members on advocacy on 25th July 2023. The training aimed to equip the members with skills and knowledge on how to advocate for children’s rights and well-being, through an interfaith approach.

Forty-six participants from Europe, Africa, the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), Asia, and North America attended the virtual training. Among them were GNRC members involved in various initiatives and projects that promote the well-being of children. The training was facilitated by Ms. Ornella Barros and Ms. Adriana Gomez from Prayer and Action for Children.

The participants expressed their appreciation for the training and mentioned (through an online survey) gaining new insights and skills they will apply to help in advocating for children’s rights and their wellbeing.

The session was concluded by Dr. Dorcas Kiplagat, Network and Programs Coordinator, GNRC, who thanked everyone for their participation and contribution to the training.
