On September 28, GNRC participated in the largest simultaneous meditation in the planet, organized by the International Foundation of the Art of Living, in over 100 countries, with the aim of promoting peace and the end of armed conflicts. In the Dominican Republic the event, under the slogan “The Planet Meditates ” was held at the National Botanical Gardens and was attended by over 200 people.
On September 29, the GNRC National Coordinator, Silvia Mazzarelli, was invited at the 3rd Meeting for Peace and Coexistence, organized by the International Society of Divine Realization, at the Juan Francisco García Auditorium of the National Conservatory of Music. The Interreligious Event, with the slogan “Educating Children for a Culture of Peace,” was attended by religious leaders and children of different religions: Catholic, Islamic , Protestant , Buddhist, Hindu and Bahai Faith.
During the meeting Ms. Mazzarelli presented the GNRC and its commitment to promote children’s rights and peace through interfaith cooperation and ethics education . The event was an opportunity to present the ” Learning to Live Together ” program and the video “We want to grow in an Environment of Peace”, created in 2012 on the occasion of the World Day of Prayer and Action for Children.
