Arigatou International Advisory Group Member, Sh. Ibrahim Asmanii Lethome, paid a courtesy call to Jamia Mosque Nairobi Administration on 31st January 2019 to advocate for a world free of online child violence. Jamia Mosque Imam, Sh. Mohammed Swalihu, Jamia Administrator, Mr. Said Abdallah were among the heads of department that attended the meeting.



The Global Network of Religions for Children (GNRC) participated at the closing ceremony of ‘Together for a New Africa’ project held at Mariapolis Piero, Juja, Kiambu County, Kenya on 8th January 2019. GNRC–Kenya was represented by Sh. Ramadhan Aula, the National Coordinator. This was the first phase of the three-year project intended to run till 2021. In his opening remarks, Sh. Aula introduced GNRC and the 10 Panama Commitments arrived at in May 2017.

Arigatou International – Nairobi (AI—N) in partnership with Sarvodaya Shramadana Movement, organised a regional meeting in Colombo, Sri Lanka from 8th – 10th December 2018. The meeting brought together thirty five (35) GNRC members and partners from South and South East Asian countries with GNRC presence. The countries included: India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Nepal, Philippines, Malaysia, Bhutan and Indonesia.



The GNRC Secretary General, Dr. Mustafa Y. Ali, and the Director, Interfaith Initiative to End Child Poverty, Rev. Fred Nyabera, led other GNRC members from South and South East Asia region in commemorating Sarvodaya’s 60th Anniversary on 7th December 2018 in Colombo, Sri Lanka. One thousand three hundred (1,300) guests attended the event to celebrate the achievements of Sarvodaya towards elevating the lives of the Sri Lankan people.


GNRC members in Kenya led by the Arigatou International Advisory Group Member, Sh. Ibrahim Lethome, and the GNRC Secretary General, Dr. Mustafa Y. Ali, joined other GNRC members across the world in commemorating the Day of Prayer and Action for Children (DPAC) on 24th November 2018 in Kibra, Nairobi, Kenya. About one hundred and sixteen (116) participants including 75 children and youth and 41 parents and caregivers attended the event under the theme, “Protecting Children from Abuse and Exploitation.” The event aimed to sensitize the young on various forms of child abuse and exploitation.



Arigatou International led by the President of Arigatou International, Rev. Keishi Miyamoto, joined other global leaders across the world in advocating for a world free of online child violence during the Interfaith Alliance Forum for Safer Communities forum that took place from 19th – 20th November 2018 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (U.A.E).

Arigatou Interantional to Participate in the Interfaith Alliance for Safer Communities Forum

Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the United Arab Emirates (U.A.E) Armed Forces, the U.A.E will host the first edition of the Interfaith Alliance For Safer Communities Forum on 19th – 20th November 2018 in recognition of the country’s leading role in promoting tolerance and interfaith dialogue.
