There is a Jewish story about a child who went to the synagogue to pray. He did not know the words of the traditional prayers, so he sat down in the back and started to sing the alphabet. After a few minutes, the adults of the synagogue asked him: “Why are you singing the alphabet?”

Firstly, I would like to thank Arigatou International for arranging this Interfaith Prayer for Children in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Interfaith Alliance for Safer Communities stands with Arigatou International as part of a united community to protect vulnerable children worldwide.

On 22nd April 2020, Arigatou International and its initiatives jointly hosted the live, "Interfaith Prayer with Children During the COVID-19 Pandemic." The solidarity prayer was led by faith leaders with active participation of children from seven different religious traditions including Baha’i, Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Islam and Judaism. Several partners and friends of the GNRC similarly participated in the prayer.
