Investing in Education for a Just, Inclusive, and Sustainable Future

During the GNRC Sixth Forum in Abu Dhabi, participants reaffirmed that education is the right of every child, as enshrined in the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, and a key pillar in overcoming the cycle of poverty.

“Every child, regardless of their birthplace or background, deserves to grow up in safety, with access to education for them to thrive. For when a child thrives, a family thrives. And when a family thrives, the community and nation prospers.” — Miss Ghaya

Education is a central theme in the Abu Dhabi Plan of Action, which amplifies children’s voices across communities as one of their fundamental rights.

To contribute to making education more inclusive and sustainable, the AGAPE Education for All program—led by AGAPE Learning and Growing Together Society, a member of the GNRC Committee in Pakistan—distributed educational materials among students at the Community Life Foundation (CLF) orphanage, benefitting more than 27 children.

This initiative aligns with Strategic Goal Three of the Abu Dhabi Plan of Action for long-term sustainability and accessibility of education for vulnerable children. It also reflects the GNRC Strategy 2030, which envisions a safe, secure, and sustainable world where every child can thrive.

By equipping marginalized children in Pakistan with key learning tools, AGAPE and GNRC Pakistan reaffirm their commitment to the pledges made during the Forum. Their efforts directly contribute to the Abu Dhabi Plan of Action’s Strategic Goal 3, Objective 2: “Implement strategies that address hunger, childhood poverty, and inequality.”

By collaborating with like-minded partners and a collective vision, AGAPE and GNRC Pakistan remain committed to their mission to create hope and opportunity for children. Investing in education today lays the foundation for a more just, inclusive, and sustainable future—a testament to the power of collective action in building a hopeful world for and with children.

“Let us vow to give all children around the world a healthy life and a sound education.” – His Excellency, Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, UAE.
