on 2008 Observance of the
Day of Prayer and Action for Children by the World’s Religions

With the encouragement of the Arigatou Foundation, GNRC member organizations and partners marked the first World Day of Prayer and Action for Children on November 20, 2008 with a variety of pilot events and initiatives. The reports submitted by the organizers of each event are all available below, organized by world region. GNRC Africa
The Day of Prayer and Action for Children was celebrated in various activities in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, and Nairobi, Kenya, as well as smaller towns in Zanzibar, Kenya and Somalia.
