GNRC–Bosnia and Herzegovina in partnership with World Vision Zenica and other partners conducted a series of 16 workshops focusing on skills development during the month of May 2018. The workshops helped to build children’s ability to recognize and utilize their potential and available resources to promote peace in the country. Twenty four (24) participants – boys and girls – from age 11 to 18 participated in the workshops.
Capacities and skills such as inner strength, assertiveness, community social responsibility, communication, conflict resolution, peace building and sustainable development were taught to the children.
GNRC–Bosnia and Herzegovina also promoted the 10 commitments of the Panama Declaration on Ending Violence Against Children. The Panama Commitments aim to promote and eradicate any form of violence against children.
The children trained in these workshops are expected to train their peers.
