The Hosting Committee and the Forum Secretariat of the GNRC 5th Forum hosted the first training session for the Forum volunteers at the end of March in Panama City, Panama. A total of fifty (50) volunteers from different faith communities in Panama, including Baha’i, Christianity, Islam and Judaism attended the training.

Rosalina Tuyuc Velásquez is a Guatemalan human rights activist. She was elected as a Congressional deputy in 1995, elected from the national list of the New Guatemala Democratic Front, and served as Vice President of Congress during that period.

Currently, Mrs. Sheran Harper is a Trustee and the Worldwide Parenting Trainer for Mothers’ Union. Prior to this, she has held several other offices in Mothers’ Union including Vice President of the Province of the West Indies and Diocesan President of Guyana.

Rev. Harold Segura is the Colombian, Director of Ecclesiastical Relations and Faith-Based Organizations of World Vision for Latin America. He is also a Theologist, Baptist pastor and business administrator. Previously, he was a Rector of the International Baptist Theological Seminary of Cali, Colombia. 

María Cristina Perceval is an Argentinian by origin with over 30 years of experience as a Human Rights advocate, Senator and Diplomat. She is known for her extensive work in safeguarding the rights of the most vulnerable. Mrs. Perceval is the UNICEF Regional Director for Latin America and the Caribbean since March 6th 2016.
