The program aimed at creating unity and re-establishing mutual understanding between different religions in the rapidly growing cosmopolitan area.<\/p>\n<p>  <!--more-->  <\/p>\n<p>In attendance at the workshop were Dr. Mustafa Y. Ali, Secretary General of the GNRC, the Government of Kenya represented by Senior Assistant County Commissioner Mombasa Jude Wasonga, Dr. Ramadhan Suleiman- an advisor and strong contributor in many peace and youth initiatives, Sh. Ibrahim Lethome, a lawyer and religious leader and several non-governmental institutions interested in youth reformation and empowerment as well as peace.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"img-responsive alignleft size-full wp-image-3037\" style=\"margin-bottom: 3px; margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 10px; float: left;\" alt=\"GNRC mombasa3\" src=\"https:\/\/gnrc.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/GNRC_mombasa3.png\" height=\"131\" width=\"198\" srcset=\"https:\/\/gnrc.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/GNRC_mombasa3.png 319w, https:\/\/gnrc.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/GNRC_mombasa3-300x200.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 198px) 100vw, 198px\" \/>Dr. Mustafa shared with participants that mankind has a right to freedom of expression and worship towards desired religion. &#8220;If we have mistrust in religions amongst communities we will never resolve our problems, but if we speak out on our grievances then it will be a step forward towards promoting peace,&#8221; Dr. Mustafa said. He continued that the society should be a model in promoting a peaceful and entrepreneurial nation.<\/p>\n<p>At the end of the two-day workshop, the responsibility of peace ambassadors was left on the hands of the attendants; to guide and lead their subsequent public.
