The International Day of Peace, a day declared by the United Nations General Assembly, as one devoted to strengthening the ideals of peace is observed annually around the world. Sharing in the mission, we, GNRC Nepal guided by our Coordinator, Guru Dr. Chintamani Nath Yogi, observed the day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Guided by this year\u2019s theme \u2018Action for Peace\u2019<\/a>, we brought together 85 children from the Peace Service Center, Hindu Vidyapeeth School, and Children\u2019s Peace Home in Nepal, aged between 7 to 16 years, to participate in the observance. Our objective was to create a massive awareness of the roles that children can play in leading positive changes in their schools and homes. The children engaged in different activities that provided them with an opportunity to express their views and learn the importance and values of peace, service, and non-violence, from their friends and teachers.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through group activities, the children from Hindu Vidyapeeth School, Kathmandu, learned the importance of peacebuilding. Additionally, children from Children\u2019s Peace Home were equipped with skills that facilitated an understanding of the importance of sharing and community living.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We thank our friends from different organizations for their support, love, and care. We also thank our teachers and students for making the program a success. We hope to continue doing such events with children so that they get an opportunity to learn the \u2018Value of Life\u2019. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
