Unfortunately, violence remains a harsh reality for millions of children around the world and Ecuador is no exception.<\/p>\n<p>  <!--more-->  <\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" alignleft size-full wp-image-1395\" style=\"width: 320px; height: 240px; border-width: 2px; border-style: solid; margin: 2px; float: left;\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/gnrc.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/EC-DPAC2013-Pr-Rmiro-Balseca-y-Msc-Natalia-Unda.jpeg\" width=\"320\" height=\"240\" srcset=\"https:\/\/gnrc.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/EC-DPAC2013-Pr-Rmiro-Balseca-y-Msc-Natalia-Unda.jpeg 320w, https:\/\/gnrc.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/EC-DPAC2013-Pr-Rmiro-Balseca-y-Msc-Natalia-Unda-300x225.jpeg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 320px) 100vw, 320px\" \/><\/span><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">Violence not only slows down the development of the child, but it also affects the learning abilities and school performance, as well as inhibits positive relationships, causes low self-esteem, anxiety and depression and sometimes leads to risk-taking, self-injurious and aggressive behavior.
