As a buildup to the United Nations International Day of Peace, GNRC¬–South Africa together with the World Assembly of Muslim Youth (WAMY) and other civil society organizations launched the Zimbali Zonke Garden4Life project on 19th September 2020 during a children’s interfaith day camp.

To commemorate the 75th Anniversary of the United Nations (UN), the Multi-Faith Advisory Council to the United Nations Interagency Task Force on Religion and Development (UN–MFAC) convened a global online conference, "Faith in the UN: Commemorating the 75th Anniversary of the United Nations and looking to the future," on 8th September 2020.

ONG BIFERD DR Congo in partnership with the Baptist Ministry in North Kivu facilitated a training for 64 Baptist Church youth on COVID-19 prevention. The training, which took place on 23rd August 2020 in Goma, DR Congo, aimed at empowering youth with information and building their resilience against the pandemic.

The Global Network of Religions for Children (GNRC) is saddened to hear of the recent loss of Pastor President Rev. Adita Torres Lescano of the Lutheran Church of Peru (Iglesia Luterana DelPeru), and member of the GNRC Committee in Peru.

As part of the network's effort to respond to COVID-19, GNRC member in Comoros, Conseil de la Paix (CAP) led by the Coordinator Mr. Akim Said M'changama, distributed face masks and sanitary kits to students and teachers in schools over the course of July 2020. This is after the government of Comoros reopened the schools in the country.

On 17th June 2020, GNRC Members St. Mary’s Public School and Society for The Empowerment of People (STEP) collaborated with the Global Network of Religions for Children (GNRC) and Interfaith Initiative to End Child Poverty to distribute foodstuffs and sanitary materials to the most vulnerable communities of Rawalpindi in Pakistan including parents and caregivers as well as children and youth. The event, which reached 275 children and youth, and attended by 57 adults, was held at St. Francis’s High School Rawalpindi Pakistan, a sister school to St. Mary’s Public School Pakistan. The Community Life Foundation also supported the initiative.
