A youth from GNRC Nepal, new member of the DPAC Planning Committee
Jagannath Kandel is a new member of the recently created Planning Committee for the World Day of Prayer and Action for Children, a worldwide campaign initiated by Arigatou International. The members of the Committee met this week in Geneva to prepare for the celebrations of the World Day next 20th November.
Jagannath contributed to the meeting from his great experience as one of the active youth members of GNRC Nepal, where he is developing projects for children to bring about positive changes in their communities. Jagannath is the coordinator of the Youth Society for Peace (YSP)-Nepal, a youth group actively involved in the activities developed by GNRC in Nepal through Shanti Sewa Ashram (SSA) and Hindu Vidyapeeth-Nepal (HVP). Jagannath’s youth group regularly runs activities to promote peace among their peers and develop a sense of social responsibility.
